Red Shelter Initiative
October 20, 2024
LOS ANGELES, CA – Turn The Town Red, a leading Conservative Super PAC dedicated to combating homelessness, is proud to announce a new initiative aimed at providing temporary shelter for the city's homeless population. In response to the growing crisis, Turn The Town Red will be placing homeless tents in strategic locations throughout Los Angeles.
The initiative is seeing the deployment of high-quality, weather-resistant tents across the city. These tents offer immediate relief to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, providing them with a safe and secure place to sleep.
"Homelessness is a complex issue that requires a multifaceted approach," said Al Keener, Executive Director of Turn The Town Red. "While our ultimate goal is to get people off the streets, these tents provide much-needed temporary relief and stability for those in need, and by those 'in need', I mean the safety of both those housed and unhoused that are forced to share our sidewalks".
Ideally, The placement of more tents will be coordinated with local authorities and community organizations to ensure they are located in areas where they are most needed.
"It's getting colder. We believe that everyone deserves a safe place to call home, even if it's a tent, that we can be proud of." added Keener. "We are committed to working with our donors, to ensure all money is held until a satisfying political game-plan to end the danger for both the homeless and housed is reached by our elected officials. For now, citizens are safer with a barrier of a tent between them."
